I really like Georgia from what I am seeing from your videos. It still has that old charm, which I love.
Gabriel showing us his new holiday home, awesome views
You finished your wine before you started eating! Did you get another glass???
From Batumi
I love Batumi. The perfect place to entertain yourself. Visit Georgia !
Good video man, it looks so deserted though.. kind of eerie
@Georgian2go Looks great! Ive subscribed. I hope we can meet some day
Was nice getting a glimpse of Batumi, as Im in Tbilisi and want to explore soon. Cheers, Gabriel!
Gabriel Traveler lockdown and curfew as we are in state of emergency but government is doing an amazing job in containing the virus so they should start opening up soon! Where are you at?
Right on, are you able to travel around Georgia or is in lockdown?
Wow, Gabe, Georgia is definitely a very special country, combining soo many points of interest and contradictions, to be seen in all the different places you showed… Your unique way of feeling places definitely made me wish to visit it in one day👍👍, thanks for that !
I totally want to visit there! Ive been thinking about a inexpensive place to winter, to escape Montana cold, maybe Ive found it!! Thank you for sharing Danyelle
Can I suggest you visit Svalbard, Norway. Most Northern populated city in the world. Im off there on Sunday. Polar night and Aurora… will be minus 26 C next week.
That sounds like just what Im looking for. Ill check it out!
I visit Batumi,is a very beautiful town.
how much was that meal there?
Nice, welcome to Georgia everybody
you have to see svaneti during skiing season
Nice places
Its beautiful. Thank you for sharing! I want to go to Batumi so bad 🙁
Wow looks gorgeous
Amazing , just in mood for Las Vegas 🥂
I am from Georgia 🇬🇪
you havent seen old Batumi I guess. there are more interesting things to see there. actually, this city is where Argonauts and Medea met (if you Know that Greek legend), and that cheesy dish with the shape of a ship comes from that region also.
That good looked really
Good lol
Nice size portion too
Just in case, this is not so, the first, Gabriel Traveler showed only a part of this city, and other European, Western countries and cities have such tall buildings, but this does not mean that they are similar to Dubai, but this does not mean that they look like Dubai, the rest of Batumi is absolutely eastern European-type city, including beautiful buildings, houses, streets and squares, with absolutely European architecture and it is not by chance that Batumi, from the earliest periods, beginning before our era, during the time of the kingdom of Kolkhida (Colchis) was one of the social, cultural centers of the then South-Eastern Europe, the ancient Greek civilization, etc. Even the flag of this Georgian region shows this past history, which is a mix of Georgian and Greek flags. As for the Rabat fortress, the fact is that this place was occupied by the Muslim empire for a long time, therefore, one building of the Muslim type in this Fortress, but the rest of this fortress is absolutely Georgian / European type, with the Georgian historical cross flag also over this fortress of Georgia, which is the official state flag of Georgia. Sincerely,Alex
awesome place and the mc donalds building was unique. Thumbs up
Id say the Atlantic City of Georgia would be a better fit =D
Idk who designed this beautiful city but they’re absolutely unique!
Hi Gabriel: do you think that this City is more interesting than the capital Tbilisi???
@Gabriel Traveler thanks a lot Gabriel
I cant really say because I didnt explore it properly. Based on what I saw I prefer Tbilisi, but you would have to visit Batumi in the summer when its more happening to get a real feel for the city.
We looove Georgia so much !! People, food, landscape are incredible !!! Batumi has the best Hachapuri!! If u know what I mean ! Niiice vlog btw guys!
OMG I stayed in the same building as you. lol
Really? Cool.
thanks for a nice vlog
I opened this video to decide where to go today and just realised we are in the same building
Ha, funny. This was a year ago so Im not there anymore. Enjoy Batumi.
what you going for thanksgiving ?
No plans, I havent even thought about it. Ill be doing my usual thing, walking around, filming and editing. Just another day as a traveler.
your videos are very shaky
Btw. The weird besked house I was told is the upside down White house.
I like batumi georgia 😍😍😍😍
Do you speak any other languages than english?
He only speaks English and bits of Spanish and Hindi phrases
Wish I could go there one day. Love Georgia 🇬🇪 from Poland 🇵🇱
❤❤❤❤❤❤🌏🌏🌏🌏
KLASSSS
Nice place😎
Good share…thank you👍
I live in the south side of the Black Sea in Turkey Samsun, batumi is near at the Turkish border
Wow! I like that place a lot!
Europe❤Georgia
POST MODERN nightmare of HELLLL!!!!! Who in their right mind would go there for a holiday?
VERY nice accomodations…my favorite adjective is definitely swanky. ;o)
Nice video!
How much was dinner?
Ive very much enjoyed your videos from Georgia. Safe travels to you.
Sweet, glad to hear it.
Certainly you are rocking in Batumi. Seems nice beach holiday destination for off-season travelers like myself. If you are in Kiev, then later on I suggest Lvov as well. Lesser known city in the Eastern Europe, but plenty of interesting sights.
Looks like theres nobody on the road and nobody on the beach, empty lake, empty streets. This can only mean one thing: the boys of summer have gone.
Amazing the place stays in business, looked like a ghost town. Guess its off season, but still
Hi Gabriel, This is a resort town Georgias version of Las Vegas, I guess what happens in Batumi stays in Batumi.
Really? you didnt mention anything about the recent chess olympiad played in Batumi this year?
I didnt know anything about that. I dont follow chess matches. Good spot for it though.
Did you really like it Georgia? would you go back one day?))
17 USD because of fall season, in summer time gonna be around 40-50 Usd
Exactly.
Is this the last video from Georgia?
Tomorrow! Its all finished and ready to go.
@Gabriel Traveler
You are finally in Ukraine, I can tell by the monument 😉
When will you upload the first video from Ukraine?
Yes. I flew from there to a new country. Clues on my Instagram:
Going to Georgia and not visiting mountain regions or taking wine tours is like going to Caribbean countries to explore just food and never visit and never heard about beautiful beaches there.
True.
Its uglier and kitchier than I have ever thought!
Красивый город
Is the Black Sea black?
@dave nelson high concentration of sulfur does make it darker than most
@Dee Raz I was joking and the Black Sea is no where the same colors as other seas! Its not the color of the Caribbean.
@dave nelson The Black Sea colour is the same as any other sea. Google Black Sea images and youll see it
@Gabriel Traveler What Sea color? The Black Sea? 🙂
Its more sea colored.
I love the modern architecture. Great potential, providing they dont over do it.
Good job . Thank from sri lanka😅
Great video and thanks for educating us on a beautiful city that I didnt even know existed. This diamond city seems hidden from the world.
…And also, just in few more other details about Georgians (as from historian by education). Georgians in Caucasus, Etruscans in Italy, Corsicans in Corsica, Picts in Britain, Spanish Iberians in Spain and other Iberian/ Celtic peoples of Europe have same ethno, ethnic origin and represent Iberian race, Iberian, Ibero/ Celtic peoples of Europe, this is why all these listed peoples ( together with the originality of each of these peoples) also have similarities, identical in the different forms of culture, in folk music, dance, in ancient architectural style and so on. Also Georgians cultures of different historical times, periods are European ( together with their original Georgian cultures, influences with different European cultures, beginning from ancient times, influences with ancient Greek civilizations/ cultures, with Roman cultures, later with Byzantium culture, Catholic Europe and other European cultures during the history of Georgians, Georgia.), and of course all these historical things proven historically/ scientifically by Worlds, European (including Georgian) historians/ scientists, and this is why Georgians European/ Western way is absolutely naturally and historically right way to returning to their European roots, which means to returning their true Georgian roots in this South- Eastern, Caucasus region, where Georgia itself is located, and this is how the vast majority of Georgians consider themselves and their country. Sincerely, Alex.
It look dry af out there, he must be out there early in the Morning
did you just called batumi a town
Hi Gabriel, will you be going back to India any time soon?
I Alex, I am so Happy you follow my advise to go Batumi. It is Better that I was thinking and even cheaper. We are still waiting you in Montreal Quebec to go all the way to Newfoundland if you want for Free. Robert
What?Las Vegas of Georgia…Cmon bro…A couple of turkish casinos – not even 11000 from Las Vegas…But town is sweet…Very comfy!People -great !food superb!Surroundings -awesome!!!Subtropical climate…
I can’t believe so nice apartment less 20 bulks a night, its landscape is awesome too, love Batumi from China
Glad that you finally got a brake and scored a nice room for next to nothing that was a huge score
That language is fascinating, the characters. Prices seem quite good. Vacation hot spot? Okay. I like the feel, its not hectic. Im a laid-back kind of guy–one can skip the gliz and glam for me. Im interested in the food. $20/night is excellent!
I am an American ex-pat living here in Batumi. Too bad you only saw the new weird Las Vegas lookalike part of town that still isnt finished. You missed 3/4 of the town – the old city is fantastic here. Make another trip and Ill show you around.
@wnose im from batumi wifi is good i have 100mbps stable+ theres absolutely no censorship
Whats the wifi like (e.g. speedtest.net) and is it always reliable? Is there any censorship?
David Langellotti Hello David. I am a Canadian and planning on buying a property in Batumi within the next 18-24 months. Possibly I can get in touch with you sometime as I’m very interested in finding out the basics of moving to a new city and country such as finding a family doctor/ dentist, a good lawyer/ attorney, where to shop for furniture and groceries etc. I’d even pay to hire someone as a bit of a tour guide. Cheers and Merry Christmas 🎄
@bababooey243 both $ and £ yes
David Langellotti hey I’m from Ny considering living in batumi what are the pros and cons? Would you consider 800 a month enough for monthly living expenses?
Georgia was an up and coming country in the Balkan region. Since 2017 foreign investment is down approximately 40%.. The economy has stalled a bit in Georgia.. A lot of investment was committed in the Batumi area. It has yet to make a financial profit..
Its still has a lot of room to grow given that economic freedom will continue to thrive growth over the time so its just a matter of time
Land of the Golden Fleece…
Supercheap 17USD room…u cant get this room in Bangkok…
I know right??
I only know georgia, because of DCS.
Gabriel, do you remember exactly how fast was the internet speed in there? Thanks a lot!
@Gabriel Traveler Ok, no problem. It would be interesting if you made a speed test in every place. Consider that! Thanks
No, I really dont remember. Not sure if I tried to upload a video from there or not, since I wasnt there very long.
Admit it Gabe… You went full out SWANKY on the hotel room for a reason.. Did you meet up with a Georgian Woman??.. LOL.. How contrasting this place is compared to the last few videos of Georgia. Would have been cool to been there in High season.
I can confirm that is a fantastic place to experience a pandemic. Cheap, safe, and great weather.
Batumi seems beautiful, awesome video
Can’t believe you stayed in the same building as us in Batumi. Different room tho. That’s a nice place to stay! 😀
Yeah Im sure its a totally different experience in the summer.
That was last year in August. Beach was very busy then too! Hehe
Really? Funny. At the same time or you were there at a different time?
Oh my Gabriel! Beautiful buildings ❤ food also yummy 😊 thank you! See you in the next video!
Looks a nice place, but that beach is a disgrace.
i think that in summer it would look better
McDonalds Batumi was named One Of The Best Buildings Of The Year – 2014
Wow, cool.
As usual, great videos Gabriel! Never thought Georgia would be that nice, looks really stunning! Been watching your vids for months in loop and have no intention to stop anytime soon. Any future plans to come to Scotland? Keep the good work! 👍
Neon lights looks like Miami by night. The price for this huge apartment its awasome deal, cheaper than a bunk bed in a bad hostel in the many big cities around world. Great country for wos are on honeymoon on a tight budget, can make a lot for less 🙂
My father builded the three twins (buildings) 😊
Thanks for sharing this video!
Im life in batumi
Nice city.. and very cheap in november!
1:16 this building is actually the up side down White House front, it is quirky attraction and when it was built they filmed a YouTube hoax with a man from the future it was called a time travelers interview and for a proof that he was from the future he showed this photo to the interviewer it was hilarious
Yes I saw it up close later, should have filmed it but it was called White Restaurant and it looked like the White House.
Ooooo swanky lol,
Good vid. keep em coming
This is a wonderful video and thank you for posting. Merry Christmas 🎄
Batumi is not even Capital of Georgia🇬🇪 yet is Modern city.
Georgia, very tasty place! 👌😍

As for the Rabat fortress (As for the Arabic origin of the name of this fortress, it is desirable that it be changed to another name, for example, to the same Akhaltsikhe, it is known that this name called as Rabatt, because things happened in the past of history, but to put it mildly, it evokes memories of the invasion of the Arab Empire in Georgia) the fact is that this place was occupied by the Muslim empire for a long time, therefore, one building of the Muslim type in this Fortress, but the rest of this fortress is absolutely Georgian / European type, with the Georgian historical cross flag also over this fortress of Georgia, which is the official state flag of Georgia. Sincerely,Alex
@Alex Khoshtaria Seriously!
@Gabriel Traveler Your welcome, and also wish you good luck, all the best, hope that we can still get out of this Coronavirus situation.
